A group of friends and I formed this charity in February 2020 to help others who, like me, have cancer. Our mission is to support those with cancer or other life-threatening diseases on all levels – research, providing aid to those who have cancer, investing in preventative care (like the mammogram that saved me!), counseling, coaching others through a treatment plan, and much more.
This is my passion because in 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. When I was first diagnosed, I had so many thoughts running through my head. The information I gathered through the National Breast Cancer Foundation helped me so much through that time. After 2 surgeries, I was very relieved to be pronounced cancer-free. I was fortunate that my doctor was able to catch it during a routine mammogram, and that the team at my local Hoag Hospital is amazing!
